Laramie Wyoming, Nebraska & St Louis

Back to the Erwin trip 2003 page

In our trek across the country we kept on driving until after dark when we got to Laramie, Wyoming. We found everywhere to eat was shut except a Chinese restaurant that was about to close, so we got Chinese take out. We sumptuously dined in the hotel room with lots of rum and coke to follow it down. We then drove a fair ways and camped in Nebraska. It was pretty chilly at night and you can see the cold in the dawn picture. But the cooked breakfast and good coffee got us on our way in good spirits. Even if the lots of hot water was untrue and we did not have showers to get going.

We then went to Corn Husker country and you can see the fields of corn. We then got in Missouri and St Louis, where it was raining. The great archway was fuzzy in the rain and Jan took a picture of some new baseball stadium. We then stopped at an antique mall where, surprise surprise Jan bought some Blueridge pottery.
