Jan, Sam and Alison’s round country trip 2007

First major leg; the way out to Akron

Jan and Ali left Cupertino on the Tuesday after Labor Day, getting to Olympia to pick me up Wednesday night. We left Thursday to see my cousins, Ben and Kate in Vancouver BC.

Jan and Ali stopped at the seven feathers casino, swan in the pool and then back tracked to grant s pass or to see Ali’s uncles, Joe and Tony.

We drove from Olympia WA to North Vancouver to stay with my cousin Ben, who I have not seen for over 20 years. No problem getting in to Canada. My uncle Jimmy set a world record for marathon runners over the age of 80 in 19856 and here is the newspaper headline for it. Next to that is his wife BaBa painting the picture of my Aunty Kate (00013). We went to west Van and had lunch with his sister Kate and Henry. We drove back to get on the real trip and it took us over 1 ½ hours in line to cross the border into the US of A! We the went through Washington, into Idaho and the last picture is at the Little Big Horn. More next page.
